Emerging Trends in Game Development (pdf)
This environmental scan targets game firms developing serious games, simulations, casual and mobile games, and virtual worlds.
Based on a survey of game firms in these five emerging sectors throughout California, the non-entertainment game industry currently employs approximately 9,600 workers and is projected to increase employment by as much as 19% or 1,800 jobs during the next 12 months.
