Solar Industry Study
In 2011, the Centers of Excellence conducted a statewide survey of solar energy firms throughout California. The objectives of this study were to identify the workforce trends and challenges across the solar supply chain - manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, and installation.
Greater Sacramento Region
In the Greater Sacramento area, employment in solar firms has nearly doubled in the last four years, expanding from 700 jobs in 2007 to 1,300 jobs in 2011.
